California school and community college districts generally sell their municipal bonds and other financings through:

–      Negotiated sales
–      Competitive sales
–      Private placements 

Generally a district will take into consideration the financing size, financing structure, credit rating(s), financing term length, and tax-exempt status when determining which method is best for the sale of their municipal bond.
